My special date

My Special Date......my life long companion and friend. My husband escorted me to the Ball. What A wonderful night we had.

This was a joke that my husband and I played on the Queen. The Queen and other Ladies at the ball were talking how it would be great if there had been men to take the challenge and been there in Tuxes that they had "created". So I helped get him together and told them there would be a surprize. They could hardly wait till I came back. and to their surprize there he was.

Love,

Deb

And the winner is..........

I always wanted to be PRETTY IN PINK...I do hope I made the right decision.

Love,
Deb

Gowns for The Blogger's Ball

I am so excited, I am here at my Pinking Shire Castle getting ready for The Bloggers Ball. My hair and nails are done, the look so beautiful. Just finished with my makeup. Looking pretty good if I do not say so myself. Now if only I could decide on which dress to wear. Let me show you how beautiful each of my gowns are. My seamstress has been so busy the past several months trying to create the perfect gown for me. You know only the BEST for the Duchess of Pinking Shire.

I love this silver gown with flowing circles of velvet. The soft silver belt and diamonds around the hemline. I have a wonderful silver shawl to put over my shoulders to protect me from the cool night air. I will wear my diamond choker and carry my silver clutch. I have beautiful Yellow Roses from my wonderful garden, that I will present to the Queen.

Oh my Beautiful Orchid and Lilac layered gown. I love the layers of silk. The iridescence ribbons and lace around the bottom will shimmer in the Ball Room lights. I will wear my Gold high heels and carry the most beautiful Gold Fan that has been handed down several generations. I will carry Orchids and Lilacs to give our Majesty.

Oh my Pretty Pink Gown.....I always wanted to be Pretty In Pink.... The Beautiful Gown fits just right in all the right places *wink* and is free flowing long from the waist down. I love the beautiful two tone colored flowers, the silver rhinestones, the soft ribbon belt with beads on the tip of it. I have a matching handbag. My jeweler made me a AWESOME two tone pearl and crystal necklace with matching earrings. I will give the Queen Pretty Pink Roses from my garden.

Oh how I love this Orchid and Lilac backless Gown. I love the lilac and orchid rhinestones on the blouse of the Gown. I love the long free flowing skirt and lilac belt with Rhinestone Buttons on the belt. I will wear the Diamond Choker with this gown. I will have Orchids and Lilac picked from the garden to present to the Queen.

I wish you could join us, if you find this and do not have a dress PLEASE just let me know..I have plenty of Ball Gowns, and can only wear one tonight. Hope you have enjoyed looking at my Ball Gowns.

Oh decisions, decisions......I guess the pink one wins.....Or the full purple one. SEEE I still can't decide.......hmmmmmmmm...............

Love,
Deb

Easter Is Every Day!

"Christ also suffered. He died once for the sins of all us guilty sinners, although he himself was innocent of any sin at any time, that he might bring us safely home to God. But though his body died, his spirit lived on." -1 Peter 3:18

"The dripping blood our only drink, the bloody flesh our only food: in spite of which we like to think that we are sound, substantial flesh and blood. Again, in spite of that, we CALLED this Friday GOOD." - T. S. Eliot

The same Christ who walked the earth 2000 years ago.
The same Christ who performed miracles, healed the sick, and cast out demons.
The same Christ who loved the unlovable.
The same Christ who forgave the sinner.
The same Christ who taught His disciples.
The same Christ who was unjustly despised and convicted.
The same Christ who hung dying on a Cross one dark and terrible Friday.
The same Christ who rose from the dead three days later.
The same Christ is in the world today.

Because Of The Victory Of The Cross, The JOY of Easter Is Every Day.

I am reading a devotional book called, "Because of the Cross", by Beverly Courrege. I was touched by this one and had to share with you. I hope you enjoy it as much.

God Bless,

Deb

What A Wonderful Easter We Had.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. My family did, attended a awesome service at our church. Then spent time on both sides of the family.

We were able to spend time with Chuck's Great Nephew and his little cousin. Devin and Jacob are two beautiful baby boy's.

Devin (8 months) Jacob (5 months)

I see some CUTE scrapbook pages with these LITTLE CUTIE'S pictures on them. I found out that I can still rock little ones to sleep. I was honored to rock Jacob to sleep.

I must of been a good girl, (picture of me and Easter Bunny was taken at work). I received an Easter Basket full of Easter stickers, Spring stickers, Wonderful Ribbons, some very colorful material, beaded fringe, and some wooden spools. I can't wait to dig in...I love NEW things for my crafts, etc. OHHHHH I almost forgot the chipboard letters.
I will be adding a new slide show tomorrow, can't wait to show you all the WONDERFUL new finds that I have....material, chipboard letters, ribbons, lace, scrapbook retreat door prize that I won....oh so many wonderful things.
Please go to Paula's blog and check out the WONDERFUL Blogger Ball she is going to host this Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 6-12:00.
Thanks, In His Name,
Debbie

Scrapbook and Altered Art Retreat

What an AWESOME weekend I had. I spent the weekend with Paula from Paula's Palace of AltAred Art, http://pclouse.blogspot.com/ and Cat from Cupcakes and Coffee, http://www.cupcakesandcoffee.blogspot.com/. You talking about 2 crazy ladies.

Wow

We had a great time, what a great surprise to me when I walked into the Retreat and there Cat was, it was such an honor to meet her this weekend and get to know her. Paula and I are long time friends, she is like the BIG sister I never had, so I always LOVE the time we get to spend together. I want to thank Paula and Carla, our Creative Memories Consultant for the great time, that 11 Scrapbook Sisters spent together at the BEAUTIFUL Lodge at Lake Sallateeska, North of Nashville, IL.

As Paula would say, "We waxed creatively all weekend!" We made Art Muses (Dolls), Happy House Pins, Cards for special friends, 5 sided Easter Eggs (Made like a 5-sided journal box), and of course many scrapbook layouts. I will post pictures as soon as I get pictures of all the wonderful things we made.

Welcome to my site

Well I am new at this, I hope in time that this will be a really cool place that you will want to visit. I love doing crafts; altered art, scrapbooks, and sewing. I also love to cook and bake. I bake and decorate cakes and cookies also. So from time to time you will see pictures of the latest cake I am working on. In the summers I love to garden, go camping, hikes, and bike rides. I love taking digital pictures, I am just learning how to do digital creations on the computer, so BEWARE. =) I am excited about sharing my creations with you. I love surfing the Internet to find new projects to work on.
A very close and dear friend/sister of mine said that I was crafty and I needed to start a blog to share my crafts with everyone. So here I am, I hope you enjoy visiting my site as I am excited about sharing them with you.

I recently discovered INCHIES on the Internet (my sweet sister was talking about them also). I love doing them, they are very simple and something that I can do while watching television with my husband, Chuck and son, Caleb.

I also get ideas from Art magazines. I love this day of technology, so many places to look and surf for ideas. One of my favorite magazine's is Somerset Studio. In the Volume 1 Issue 1 2007, I found these darling little House Pins, by Artist Victoria Gertenback, that I just had to make. I love them, I know it will be something I will be making from time to time.

Well I guess I have bent your ears/eyes long enough for the first post. I will be back again soon to share more I am sure.

Huggles,

Deb
